KIP stands for Klaytn Improvement Proposal. KIP-17 is the standard for NFT issuance on the Klaytn blockchain platform, and it is a blockchain platform developed by Ground X, a blockchain affiliate of Kakao, the largest IT company in Korea, along with Naver. All NFT products of the SML project follow Klaytn's KIP-17 standard. NFT started with ERC-721 of Ethereum, and KIP-17 is a standard corresponding to ERC-721 provided by Klaytn. SML NFT will be issued and distributed using its own platform on the Klaytn network, and the issued NFT can be bought and sold on a dedicated platform or OpenSea.
